大和駅は小田急江ノ島線と相鉄本線が交わる大和市の中心駅で、2つの鉄道会社の駅が一体になった珍しい構造をしています。駅ビルには書店やレストランが入り、周辺には大型スーパーなどの商業施設も充実。市内はほぼ平坦な地形で、移動しやすいのも特徴です。Yamato is the central station of Yamato City, where the Odakyu Enoshima Line meets the Sagami Railway (Sotetsu) Main Line — an unusual structure with two separate railway companies sharing one station building. The station building houses a bookstore and restaurants, and the surrounding area has large supermarkets and other shops. The terrain is almost entirely flat, making it easy to get around.
