向ヶ丘遊園駅は、2002年まで実在した遊園地「向ヶ丘遊園」の名を今に伝える駅です。南口改札前にはドラえもん像が立ち、遊園地跡地にあった「ばら苑」は市が管理を継承して今も残っています。南口から徒歩16分で藤子・F・不二雄ミュージアムへも行けます。Mukogaoka-Yuen carries the name of an actual amusement park that operated here until 2002. A Doraemon statue stands right in front of the south exit ticket gate, and the rose garden from the old park grounds is still maintained by the city today. The Fujiko F. Fujio Museum is about a 16-minute walk from the south exit.
