生田駅は明治大学生田キャンパスの最寄り駅で、専修大学や日本女子大学も近く、南口は学生向けの飲食店やショップでにぎわいます。北口は大規模マンションが多く、静かに暮らしたい方に向いています。緑豊かな「生田緑地」も徒歩圏内で、藤子・F・不二雄ミュージアムや日本民家園などの文化施設もあります。Ikuta is the nearest station to Meiji University's Ikuta Campus, with Senshu University and Japan Women's University also nearby — the south exit is lively with student-oriented restaurants and shops. The north exit has more large apartment complexes, suited to a quieter lifestyle. The green Ikuta Ryokuchi Park is within walking distance too, home to the Fujiko F. Fujio Museum and the Japan Open-Air Folk House Museum.
